This artist book was created from the poem “À Foliano” by Rebecca Lemaire. Foliano is the name given to the wind by the author of the poem—a light, playful, and free wind. To reflect the ethereal and fleeting nature of this wind, I worked with light, delicate materials such as handmade tissue paper alongside heavier, more solid materials like thick cotton canvas. This contrast creates a tactile dialogue between weight and airiness. The entire poem is rewritten using letters cut out of canvas, allowing glimpses of the lighter papers beneath to emerge, visually and physically embodying the playful movement of the wind.
