“Impulso Natural” (Natural Impulse) was created for the 4th Edition of the Artist Book Competition Masquelibros (Concurso de Libros de Artista Masquelibros), held in Madrid, Spain.
The theme that year was “fierceness.” I interpreted “fierceness” as an innate animal state in which one acts in an impulsive, primitive, brutal, and at the same time natural way. I used different techniques to create textures that evoke the animal kingdom or convey a sense of danger.
